Forgive me SL for I have sinned
It’s been a while since my last confession, the last time I logged out and didn’t log in again for a year.
It would seem that I do this quite often.
You see for me, SL is a fantasy realm. A world of creation and dreams and irresponsibility. It’s the place I go to when I have free time or need to escape or unwind.
However whenever I feel myself being lost to SL, when I feel like I am more Putrid Gloom than Samantha, I made a pact with myself to log out, and not log in again until I return to reality.
Unfortunately I don’t really think about the consequences that my actions have on my friends, some of whom (Horrid) just put it down to my Gypsy nature and general flakiness and know for sure that the tractor beam of SL will soon pull me back in again. For some others however (like Muff who lives in my town and almost had a countrywide manhunt out looking for my remains) I’m a worry.
Similarly as an event organizer, sometimes the cloying nature of dealing with 8 billion notecards whilst watching my laundry pile grow bigger, and my college projects slip past their deadlines can become the trigger for my exit.
I honestly don’t even think at the time that people will notice my absence, and not in a whiny, needy way, more in a ‘Ooo it’ll be ok, just log out and deal with your shit, you’ll be back in a couple of days, nobody will even know you’re gone’
It never is though….a couple of days….never….
So specifically, I feel I owe an apology to everyone who signed up for Zombiefest and The Rotten Egg Hunt and was just left high and dry. I know you probably worked hard on your items and expected a great event, and I realize that for some of you this is your RL income. I should have let you know and I’m sorry I let you down. I totally understand that some of you may be wary of being in a Guild of Gloom event again, but I hope that what I’m writing is met with some empathy. At times we all take SL far too seriously, and at times we have to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves.
I owe an apology to Muff who is a new friend and good friend, and I nearly gave him an aneurysm, and he’s feeble as it is
And to my fantastically loyal customers, I’m sorry I keep disappearing, creeps!
And to Horrid…..not apologizing, you’re a flaky Gypsy too
Happy Mardi Gras!
As you know I am the biggest fan of NOLA culture, and so I wanted to have a little piece of Mardi Gras happening at Show me on the Doll, so, of course, I had to make some new Mardi Gras themed items to go with that
The Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler Catsuit is fabulous for parades and parties, it’s 100% mesh and comes in 5 sizes. Please try the demo as I’m not sure if it works with mesh bodies.
Of course we all get up to bad stuff on Parade day, and so I made a couple of masks to help you slip away unnoticed
Come on over, grab a piece of King Cake

Show me on the Doll
It’s Woeful Wednesday here at Horrid Hill, & both Horribaubles and Show me on the Doll have items out this week.
Firstly it’s the Ooo Mr Burton bed from SMOTD. In true Burtesque style, this bed is monochrome, stripey and polka dotty, and includes two bedframe versions…Bone and Raven
Secondly, from Horribaubles…
These mesh ‘Dead End’ and ‘Stop’ signs are a perfect way to spook up your sim. They feature custom textures and an animation which will show any passers by what happens if you don’t heed what the signs say.
Both items are 50L$ only for the next 24 hours. If you would like to know more about Woeful Wednesday, you can find all info here
